Chester and Donalyn Swier of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Red Lobster Restaurant in Lakewood, N.Y. They have three children: Cynthia (Daniel) Massey of Jamestown, with whom they make their home, Susan (Kim) Hillman of Cuba, and Gregory (Paula) Swier of Olean. They also have five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Swier and the former Donalyn Perry were married July 2, 1949, in Cuba, N.Y.
Swier is a retired high school art teacher, retired Lt. Col. in the Air Force Reserves and was a former prisoner of war. Mrs. Swier is a retired school secretary and certified teaching assistant.
