Child Safety Seat Inspection Announced

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department will be conducting a child safety seat inspection on Saturday Sept. 26 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Gerry Rodeo Grounds.

Parents are encouraged to bring their children and safety seat to the check to ensure that it is safe, in good condition and being used properly.

Sheriff Joe Gerace was able to purchase a limited number of child safety seats through a grant awarded to the department and they will be given to people who can't affrod to purchase one on their own.

Gerace assured that the event is for safety purposes only and that "there will be no tickets given for any reason."
