Delores ''Dee'' Bowen, 78, of Steamburg, N.Y., died Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at the Bradford Re-gional Medical Center, Bradford, Pa.
She was born March 15, 1931, in Onoville, N.Y., the daughter of the late Clinton and Cynthia Jimerson. She was married to Robert ''Bob'' Oldsheild who predeceased her. On July 28, 1990, she married Ralph Bowen who sur-vives.
She was a graduate of the Mount Echo Bible Institute in Humphrey, N.Y.
She was employed for more than 20 years at Acme Electric in Olean, and Cuba, prior to retirement.
She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Na-tion of Indians, belonging to the Wolf Clan, Red House Memorial Chapel, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a very loving mother and grandmother, and was well known for her corn husk dolls and beadwork, some of which are displayed in the Smithsoni-an Institute in Washington, D.C.
Surviving besides her husband are one son, Bill ''Butch'' Oldsheild, Steam-burg; one daughter, Wendy Oldsheild, Salamanca, N.Y.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters: Jacque-line Bowen, Jimerstown, N.Y., and Rebecca Bowen of Jimersontown, N.Y.; a stepson, Dennis Bowen, Tuba City, Ariz.; two sis-ters: Ruth Bova, Steam-burg, N.Y., and Colleen Frailey, Steamburg, N.Y.; one brother, Vernon ''Barney'' (Carol) Jimerson, Port Charolette, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Robert ''Tom'' Oldshiled; three sisters: Roseine Mohawk, Vera Baker and Eleanora Bova Bowen and two brothers: Wilbur Jimerson and Fredrick Jimerson.
Friends may call on Sa-turday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Sala-manca, N.Y.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at 10 a.m. in the fun-eral home, followed by ser-vices at 11 a.m. in the Red House Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steam-burg, N.Y.
