The Rev. William and Ruth Pettibon of Gerry, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 8, 2009, at Heritage Village Retirement Campus, Gerry. The celebration was hosted by their daughters: Julia Pettibon of Jamestown, N.Y., Jenni Piatt (David) of Cattaraugus, and Sarah Sember of Lockport, and their grandchildren: David and Erin Luke, Rachel Piatt, Daniel Rhinevault, Eric Sember, Jessica Devericks, Jeffrey Hudak, Shaquille Pearson-Kinsey, and Johanna, LaCherrie, Patricia and Eric Pettibon. They also have two great-grandchildren: Braedon and Aubrianna Luke.
Pettibon is a retired United Methodist minister. Mrs. Pettibon is employed as a licensed practical nurse at WCA Hospital.
