JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Pedro J. Cruz, 26, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief Monday, after police were called to Barrett Avenue home around 1:30 a.m. for a domestic dispute. Officers said that Cruz had a physical confrontation with a female at the home and at one point took her cell phone to stop her from calling for help. He was taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment. Police say the woman was uninjured.

Dennis A. Steves, 52, of Frewsburg was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a pre-screen test, failure to keep right, failure to maintain lane, unsafe right turn and failure to signal a turn Monday morning, after a traffic stop on Harrison Street. Police say around 2:13 a.m., the Stop DWI patrol saw Steves driving a 2003 Chrysler van on Harrison Street, crossing lanes of traffic and making an improper turn without signaling. Police say he was intoxicated, and refused to take a chemical test at the city jail. He was held awaiting arraignment.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

WEST ELLICOTT - Craig D. Raines, 27, of Celoron was charged with petit larceny last Wednesday after he allegedly stole something from K-Mart around 8:30 p.m. He was taken into custody, arraigned and sent to the county jail.

Timothy C., Markham, 17, of Jamestown; Karrie E. Fuller, 16, of Lakewood; and Caleb P. Fink, 18, of Bradford, Pa., were all charged with unlawful possession of marijuana last Thursday, and Kyle A. Dewyer, 18, of Bradford, Pa., was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon, after a traffic stop on Livingston Avenue in Celoron. Police say that everyone in the car was under the influence of marijuana and that Dewyer was taken into custody, arraigned and sent to the county jail. The driver and two other passengers were given appearance tickets and will be in court later.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

STOCKTON - Gerald R. Haley, 44, of Sinclairville was charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny Saturday, following a domestic dispute around 9:30 p.m. Haley was taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment.

Robert A Barba, 55, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree offering a false instrument for filing and third-degree insurance fraud Sunday. He was given an appearance ticket and will be in Jamestown City Court later.

DUNKIRK - Tonya L. Earley, 31, of Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny on June 18, after she was allegedly caught shoplifting at a Vineyard Plaza store. She was given an appearance ticket and will be in court later.

GOWANDA - A 16-year-old male from Erie Avenue, Gowanda and two 14-year-old males - from Gowanda and Collins - were charged June 17 in regard to a reported Erie Avenue break-in. Two of the youths reportedly climbed into the home's bathroom window while the third remained outside and kept watch. Cash, an iPod, and a bottle of prescription medication were reportedly taken. Troopers were alerted to the three after they learned the "lookout" reportedly showed the stolen items to another youth. The 16-year-old and one 14-year-old were charged with second-degree burglary. The other 14-year-old was charged with fourth-degree criminal facilitation. Both 14-year-olds were scheduled to appear in Erie County Family Court, along with their parents.

SOUTHERN TIER REGIONAL DRUG TASK FORCE

Holly A. Paluch, 21, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance Saturday, concluding a six-month investigation. She was taken into custody on a warrant by the Dunkirk Police Department, arraigned and sent to the county jail. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

CHAUTAUQUA - Dennis Hannold, 33, of Panama was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident Thursday at the intersection of Morris and Mount Pleasant Roads in the Town of Chautauqua. Deputies said Ann Marie Leep-Cochran had stopped on Mt. Pleasant when the Hannold vehicle, traveling on Morris Road drove onto Mt. Pleasant road, striking the Leep-Cochran vehicle head on. Cochran and a passenger, Chelsea Dellisico, 13, of New Kennington, Pa. were taken to Westfield Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Hannold had left the scene before deputies arrived and could not be located after an extensive search. When found, he was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, failure to reduce speed at an intersection and failure to keep right. Officers said Hannold later sought medical treatment at WCA Hospital on his own. He is to answer the charges in Chautauqua Town Court.

MAYVILLE - Justin L. Horton, 24, of Lakewood and Jay A. Post, 30, of North East, Pa., were featured on the Chautauqua County Wanted Persons list. Horton was wanted for violating probation and Post was wanted for a felony driving while intoxicated charge. Horton was taken into custody and Post turned himself in. Both are being held in Chautauqua County Jail and both have had their names removed from the wanted list.

HANOVER - Jason D. Harper, 28, of Silver Creek was charged with DWI, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, failure to stay in lane and felony aggravated unlicensed operation Sunday, following a traffic stop on Routes 5 and 20 around 1:49 a.m. Deputies said he was pulled over for failing to stay in the appropriate lane and he was intoxicated. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket.

HANOVER - Colin W. Short, 26, of Buffalo was charged with DWI and failure to stay in lane while his passenger, 27-year-old Buffalo resident Michael J. Gugino was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on Routes 5 and 20 Saturday around 9:50 p.m. Both were released with appearance tickets and will be in court later.

HANOVER - Roscoe Henhawk, 46, of Gowanda was charged with DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to maintain lane Monday, after a traffic stop on Alleghany Road around 10:45 a.m. Deputies say he was pulled over for failing to stay in the appropriate lane and was found to be intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. He was taken into custody, arraigned and sent to the county jail.

WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

Michelle Johnson, 32, of Westfield was charged with second-degree harassment on June 23, after she allegedly hit her ex-boyfriend in the face while he was sitting on the bleachers with his youngest son watching his other son's little league game. She was given an appearance ticket and will be in court later.

Scott C. Eshleman, 31, of Westfield was charged with unlawful imprisonment Saturday, after a domestic dispute at a North Gale Street home. Eshleman's wife reported that he forcefully removed her from a local bar after they had an argument, and that he put her inside his truck and locked her inside. She sustained scratches and bruises on her arms, police said, and Eshleman was taken into custody. Following arraignment in Westfield Village Court, he was sent to the county jail where he is being held in lieu of $1,000.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

PERRYSBURG - Donald C. Green, 25, of Perrysburg was taken into custody Saturday on a warrant out of Chautauqua County charging him with third-degree rape. He was turned over to Chautauqua County Sheriff's Deputies and will appear in court later.

PORTVILLE - Daniel R. Gleason, 21, of Portville was charged with first-degree rape on June 25, after an investigation by the sheriff's department and the Southern Tier Child Advocacy Center into an incident which happened on May 23. Investigators say Gleason sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl at a home in Portville. He was arraigned in Portville Town Court and will return to court later.

PERSIA - Deputies are investigating a motorcycle accident that happened in the town of Persia Saturday which sent a 17-year-old to the hospital. Around 6:35 p.m. on Route 62, Jacob T. Eddy, of Gowanda was driving a 2001 Kawasaki south when he lost control and slid into a ditch before returning to the road. He was taken to the Erie County Medical Center by MercyFlight with significant internal injuries and listed in stable condition.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

RUSSELL - A 46-year-old woman from Russell, Pa., was charged with harassment Sunday, after she allegedly bit a 52-year-old man's arm during an argument at a Fox Hill Road home around 8:45 a.m.

CLARENDON - Scott Thomas, 40, of Clarendon, Pa., was charged with harassment on June 21, after a cooking pot hit a woman when he knocked it off of a dresser during a domestic dispute.
