Russell and Alice Certo of Jamestown and Fort Myers, Fla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on with a cruise to ports in Mexico, a Sunday brunch at Legends Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers, Fla., and a dinner party hosted by Diane and Robert Forsberg, sister and brother-in-law of the groom. They have three children: Brian and Gregory Certo and Kristen (Steve) Stoeltzing. They also have five grandchildren: Daniel and Kaylea Stoeltzing and Linda, Clair and Nick Certo. Also in attendance at the various events were members of the original wedding party: Eleanor and Roy Mecklenburg, sister and brother-in-law of the bride, S. John Conti and Toni, and Jack and Florence Battaglia.

Certo retired from Chautauqua County where he had been employed as probation supervisor, director of employment and training and coordinator of the North County Industrial Council. He also owned and managed Alice Gowns, Gifts and Greenery, Jamestown Burial Vault Co. and Jamestown Block Co. Mrs. Certo owned and operated The Bridal Shop. They are members of Peace Lutheran Church, Fort Myers, Fla., and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Jamestown. They are also members of Moon Brook Country Club.
