Dr. Norman and Jean Davis celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2009, with a family dinner. They are the parents of Dr. Norma (Brian) Murray of Wyckoff, N.J., Hollis Davis of Florence, Ky., and William Davis of Jamestown. They have four grandchildren: Patrick, Megan, Sean and Matthew Murray, all of Wyckoff, N.J.
They were married June 12, 1949, in Baltimore, Md. They are also veterans of the U.S. Armed Services, serving during and after World War II, including a tour of duty in Japan.
Davis is a retired opthalmologist. Mrs. Davis is retired from Jamestown Public Schools where she was employed as a school nurse practitioner.
