Arthur and Judith Stoddard of Erie, Pa., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 24, 2009, at the Mina Findley Lake Community Center in Findley Lake, N.Y. The celebration was hosted by their children, Ronda Kimmy of Wattsburg, Pa., Jerry and Eric Stoddard, both of Erie, Pa., and Mark Stoddard of Buffalo, N.Y. They also have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Out of state guests attended from Texas, Florida and Virginia.
Stoddard and the former Judith Hayes were married May 24, 1959, in the Old Findley Lake Evangelical United Bretheren Church, Findley Lake. The Rev. Ivan Shreeve and the Rev. Gerald Lundeen performed the ceremony.
Stoddard is a retired self-employed barber. He serves as a trustee of Brokenstraw Antique Tractor Club and is a retired volunteer fireman serving in Clymer. Mrs. Stoddard is retired from Hofman's Church and Religious Store where she was employed in retail sales. They are members of the Tenth Street United Methodist Church in Erie, Pa.
