CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

POMFRET - Randall Lee Reichard, 41, of Allentown, Pa., was charged with DWI and insufficient tail lights Wednesday following a traffic stop on Route 60 around 1:20 a.m. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket to be in Pomfret Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA - Amy L. Crowe, 30, of Jamestown was charged with DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle Sunday after deputies responded to a call about a vehicle in the road around 4 a.m. Deputies say Crowe was intoxicated with an open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. Her license had been suspended. She was taken into custody, arraigned in Chautauqua Town Court and sent to the county jail. She will return to court later.

CASSADAGA - Shane Taylor, 37, of Dunkirk was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, speeding and failure to notify the Motor Vehicles Bureau of an address change following a traffic stop on Frisbee Road. Deputies say Taylor was pulled over for speeding and it was learned there was an outstanding arrest warrant for violation of probation.

DUNKIRK - Keri A. Campbell, 33, of Gowanda was charged with fraudulently obtaining public assistance and fourth-degree grand larceny Thursday, following a joint investigation by deputies and the Department of Social Services Welfare Fraud Unit. Investigators say Ms. Campbell, formerly Ms. Woltz, said her son lived with her when she applied for public assistance but he actually lives with his father elsewhere. She then obtained $1,220.63 in benefits she wasn't entitled to receive. She was given an appearance ticket and will be in court later.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

LITTLE VALLEY - Jennifer M. Curry, 35, of Fredonia was taken into custody on a warrant for violating the terms of her probation Sunday. She was arraigned in Persia Town Court and released to return to court later.

SALAMANCA - Joshua W. Wilder, 35, was charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration Sunday following an incident at the Seneca Allegany Casino. Wilder allegedly refused to leave after being kicked out. He was taken into custody, arraigned and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $750 bail. He will return to court later.

EAST OTTO - Adam J. Testa, 23, of Medina, Ohio, was charged with DWI, unreasonable speed and failing to maintain lane Saturday following a rollover accident on Bowen Road. Deputies say his blood-alcohol content was .12 percent and he was taken into custody. He was arraigned and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of $1,000.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

ELLERY - Elmer R. Meraz, 32, of fort Lauderdale, Fla., was charged with violating criminal procedural law, a Class A misdemeanor, Tuesday. He was processed and released to a third party and will appear in court later.

FRIENDSHIP - Chris Brown, 20, of Friendship was charged with two counts of sexual misconduct Tuesday following an investigation into an incident which allegedly happened Saturday. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket.

ALLEGANY - Joseph E. Bradley, 24, of Allegany was charged with second-degree menacing with a weapon Wednesday following a call reporting shots fired on Smith Hollow Road. He was taken into custody and released on bail.

GOWANDA - Joseph Peters, 20, of Indian Hill Road, Gowanda, was charged with third-degree assault on March 5 following an incident which reportedly happened March 4. Peters allegedly assaulted an elderly male acquaintance, punching him in the face and head numerous times while they were at a home on Indian Hill Road. The elderly man was taken to Tri-County Hospital by Seneca Nation of Indians marshals, who were called to the scene after the alleged assault. Peters is scheduled to appear in Perrysburg Town Court later this month.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

WARREN - Michael T. Smoot, 35, of Warren, Pa., was charged with simple assault after he allegedly struck a 39-year-old Warren, Pa., man several times after an argument escalated. The victim was checked out at Warren General Hospital following the incident.

GLADE TOWNSHIP - A 15-year-old male was charged with disorderly conduct after he allegedly began yelling obscenities and punching a locker after he was told to calm down. Police say his actions alarmed other students and a teacher, leading to the charges.

SUGAR GROVE - Police report that a known suspect entered a 61-year-old man's Sugar Creek home and stole $140 in unspecified currency. The investigation is continuing.

SHEFFIELD TOWNSHIP- Mark Utley, 44, of Brookston, Pa., was involved in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday, although no charges were filed as a result. Police say he was driving south on Route 948 when he fell asleep at the wheel around 7:45 p.m., causing his vehicle to leave the road and strike a tree. He was taken to Kane Community Hospital by the Sheffield Ambulance Service and the Sheffield Fire Department assisted on the scene.

TIDIOUTE - Police report that around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, a 19-year-old male threw a chair and struck a $2,100 'Smart Board' computerized screen at Tidioute Community Charter School. The youth's identity is known and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

WARREN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Charles P. Irvin, 75, of 6801 Cable Hollow Road, Russell, Pa., was charged with public drunkeness Wednesday after an officer was dispatched to 300 Pennsylvania Ave. around 2:25 a.m. to assist an ambulance for a male who had fallen.
