JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Roberto P. Millan, 20, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with two counts of first-degree criminal contempt, two counts of criminal contempt, two counts of aggravated harassment, unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal contempt. According to police, Millan had been listed on Chautauqua County's Most Wanted and located in a residence at 24 Richmond Place. He was taken into custody without incident and is being held in city jail for arraignment.
Cody W. Nolen, 19, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with criminal impersonation and fugitive from justice. Officers responded to 305 E. Fifth St. after receiving a tip that Nolen was at the residence and was wanted by police. A male was located hiding in a bedroom claiming to be another male and gave police a false name. Officers located a birth certificate that identified the male as Cody W. Nolen who is wanted out of Wichita, Ky., on several counts of burglary, theft and escaping from detention. He was taken into custody and held in the city jail pending arraignment.
Michael Haight, 23, of Jamestown was charged Sunday with unlicensed operator, failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a personal injury motor vehicle accident, and driving while intoxicated after an accident on Cole Avenue. According to police, Tonya Himes, 30 of Jamestown was traveling west bound on Cole Avenue with her four children when her 2006 Dodge Caravan was struck by Haight's 1999 Chevrolet Malibu, which was traveling south bound on Park Street. Haight fled the accident scene on foot and was apprehended a short distance from the accident. Tonya Himes and her four children were all transported to WCA Hospital by ambulance for minor injuries. They were all treated and released from the hospital. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage in the collision.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
POMFRET - Ryan A. Strickland, 21, of Dunkirk was charged Saturday with speeding, driving while intoxicated, and blood alcohol content of .08 percent of more. According to police, Strickland was stopped on Route 60 in Pomfret for speeding. After an investigation, Strickland was found to be intoxicated and will be in Pomfret court at a later date.
HANOVER - Timothy J. Gay, 31, of Forestville was charged Sunday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, failure to maintain lane and failure to provide valid insurance. According to police, Gay was stopped on Route 39 for failing to maintain lane. Further investigation found Gay to have a revoked New York driver's license for an alcohol related offense. He will appear in Hanover court at a later date.
MAYVILLE - Lavern L. Johnson, 51, of Jamestown was featured in the Chautauqua County Most Wanted for a charge of petit larceny. Johnson was in Chautauqua County court Monday where he was arraigned and released under court-mandated conditions.
DUNKIRK - Luis Torres, 35, of Dunkirk was charged Friday with violation of probation on criminal sale of drugs. Torres was featured in the Chautauqua Counties Most Wanted and is currently in the county jail.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Robert R. Heeter of Lakewood was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated. Officers responded to a Celoron residence for a report of a subjects harassing the occupants of the house. Upon arrival, a description of the subject vehicle was given to the officer. A short time later a vehicle that fit the description was observed in the area and the vehicle was stopped. Heeter was found to be intoxicated and will appear in Ellicott court a later date.
Paul D. E. Nickerson, 27, of Falconer was charged Monday with driving while intoxicated, loud exhaust, and no plate lamps. Police stopped Nickerson in Falconer for loud exhaust and no plate lamps. After an investigation Nickerson was found to be intoxicated. A driver's license check also revealed that Nickerson had suspended driving privileges. He will appear in Ellicott court at a later date.
Cassandra R. Stone, 20, of Kennedy was charged Saturday with petit larceny and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument. During an investigation of a larceny of a Sony Playstation 3 which Stone allegedly stole, police located Stone in Falconer and found her to be in possession of hypodermic needles. She was taken into custody and remanded to the county jail.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Buster C. Swanson, 26, of Jamestown was charged Saturday with no seatbelt and second-degree criminal contempt. According to police, Swanson was stopped for a no seatbelt violation. Further investigation led to Swanson to be in violation of an order of protection. He was arraigned in Ellicott court and will appear in Busti court at a later date.
SALAMANCA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Judson D. Beattie, 22, of Salamanca was charged Sunday with two bench warrants issued by the Salamanca court. Beattie posted bail and was released.
Denise M. Galandio, 50, of Salamanca was charged Monday with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to police, Galandio was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute and is being held by Salamanca police for arraignment.
Donovan L. Abrams, 39, of Salamanca was charged Monday with disorderly conduct. According to police, Abrams allegedly was disturbing the peace and quiet of a neighborhood at the time of the incident. Abrams is being held by Salamanca police pending arraignment.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Allan J. Kalinowski, 39, of Lancaster, N.Y., was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain lane. Deputies responded to a rolled over motor vehicle accident on Route 219, where Kalinowski was traveling northbound on Route 219 when he encountered a patch of icy blowing snow. Kalinowski lost control of the vehicle and rolled over after striking a snowbank. He was brought to the Ellicottville police department for sobriety testing and was arrested for driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain lane. He was arraigned in Ashford court and held on bail.
Laurie J. Liddle, 47, of Yorkshire, N.Y., was charged and taken into custody Saturday on a violation of probation warrant. Liddle was transported to the county jail and held without bail.
