LAKEWOOD - Lakewood-Busti Police processed three suspected illegal immigrants in the village Monday after a traffic stop on East Fairmount Avenue.

Police say around 4:45 p.m., they pulled over a Dodge Caravan after it allegedly changed lanes unsafely, almost hitting another vehicle.

An investigation determined that 40-year-old Jesus M. Villegas, who was driving the vehicle, didn't have a driver's license. The vehicle's two other occupants, 31-year-old Juan-Kirk Paul and 24-year-old Javier Ramirez-Soto, couldn't produce any identification or speak English, prompting local police to contact the U.S. Border patrol.

All three men, who had a Jamestown address listed as place of residence, were transported awaiting a deportation hearing.
