The Lucille Ball Little Theatre Junior Guilders will mark their 25th year of appearances at the Chautauqua County Fair with their July 25 performance at the Arthur R. Maytum Family Theater beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The group, founded in 1982, began performing at the Fair the following year, and its fast paced, well-choreographed repertoire of folk, jazz, blues, rock-n-roll and classic music has won acclaim in performances throughout the United States and Europe.

“The Junior Guilders bring an outstanding show to the Fair that visitors have now enjoyed for a quarter century,” said Becky Mirek, co-chair of the fair’s entertainment committee. “Over that period of time, the group has performed at The White House, Kennedy Center, Walt Disney World, Opryland and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

This is an enthusiastic group of young people that demonstrates some of the best talent our youth here in Chautauqua County have to offer everywhere they perform. We are proud to have them as part of the Fair.”

The Junior Guilders is composed of 35 youth ages 8 to 16 and receives financial support from the fundraising efforts of parents and through area foundations.

The 127th edition of the Chautauqua County Fair runs July 21-27 at the fairgrounds in Dunkirk.

Discounted pay-one-price advance sale tickets are available at 50 area retail locations through July 20. Advance sale ticket outlets and event information is available on-line at www.ChautauquaCountyFair.org or by calling the fair office at 366-4752.
