ELLICOTT - The Ellicott Senior Center recently received a donation from Tanglewood Manor to complete the handicap entrance to its site at 215 S. Work St.
Recently, a wheelchair accessible ramp was completed at the entrance for the Senior Center and also the Town Court. The donation received from Tanglewood Manor will provide for the handicapped access opener, as well as an improved main entrance door.
Senior groups such as the Ellicott Seniors provide socialization and activity which often enhances the quality of life for area senior citizens. It also provides seniors with information on services available in the community when they are in need of assistance. The donation was also an opportunity to help the community because the entrance is also utilized by the Ellicott Town Court and is used when community members come in to vote in elections.
