Insects Across The Region

Series Highlights Nature Locally

Insects across the Chautauqua-Allegheny region will come alive with a new series of field trips set to begin Saturday.

Co-sponsored by the Roger Tory Peterson Institute and the Jamestown Audubon Nature Center, the outdoor outings are designed to encounter a variety of habitats and active times for butterflies, moths, dragonflies, grasshoppers and other insects in Southwestern New York.

Each trip costs $15 per participant — $10 for members of the sponsoring organizations — with proceeds to benefit RTPI and JAS. Pre-registration is required as groups are limited to 20 participants. Trips will run rain or shine.
