CHERRY CREEK — Alex M. Thomas, 20, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in Beaufort, S. C.
He was born Feb. 27, 1988, in Springville, N.Y., the son of Kenneth and Cyn-thia (Brehm) Thomas.
Alex graduated from Pine Valley Central Class of 2006 and joined the Marines on July 10, 2006 at Jamestown, N.Y. He will be remembered for his giving personality.
He is survived by Ken-neth Thomas (father) of Cherry Creek, N.Y.; Cynthia (Dennis) Sipp (mother) of Cherry Creek, N.Y.; Luke J. Thomas (brother) of Cherry Creek, N.Y.; Thomas (Elaine) Brehm (maternal grandfather), Delores (Ray-mond) Gaddy (maternal grandmother) of Largo, Fla.; Margaret Mitchell (paternal grandmother) of Kenmore, N.Y.; and John (Cathy Lee) Thomas (paternal grandfa-ther) of Castile, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Hills Funeral Chapel, 478 Balcom Corners, South Dayton, N.Y. LCDR David R. Glassmire, will be officiating. Burial will be in the Cherry Creek Central Cemetery in Cherry Creek.
Visitation will be held at the funeral chapel on Mon-day from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
