Robert Harris

He was born July 7, 1918, in Buffalo, the son of Elmer Arthur and Isabelle Harris.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated a Frito Lay franchise in Cherry Creek. In earlier years, he had been employed by Mingles Bakery in Dunkirk.

He is survived by three sons: Mike Harris of Springville, N.Y., Ron Harris of Miami and John Harris of Douglasville; four daughters: Julie Russo of Las Vegas, Joyce Wilson of Falconer, Patricia Harris of Riverside, Calif., and Jeanine Craig of Douglasville; 18 grandchildren, including Melissa Arrance Sheesley of Cassadaga, Jill Arrance Perkins of Falconer, Roman Arrance of Gerry, Michelle Harris Davis, Bethany and Kimberly Harris, all of Jamestown, and Victor Harris of New York City.

A memorial service was held Aug. 12 in the Midway Methodist Church. Dr. Orlin Sampson officiated.
