She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Brocton and enjoyed crocheting, bowling and reading her Bible.
Her family and friends remember her as a loving and dedicated mother and homemaker. She also was a great cook.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Mekus of Port Orange, Fla., Donna Hunt of Westfield and Linda Kelley of Brocton; seven sons, Theodore Houser of Orlando, Fla., William "Red" Houser of Westfield, Darl "Ducky" Houser of Port Orange, Harry Houser of North East, Pa., and Russel Houser, Larry Houser and Charles "Fuzz" Houser, all of Westfield; three sisters, Jean Craig of Lawsonham, Pa., Eloise Klinginsmith of Kittanning, Pa., and Tess Setser of North Carolina; two brothers, Charles Swartz of Sharon, Pa., and John Swartz of Widnoon, Pa.; 39 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Theodore Houser, who died Nov. 14, 1993; a brother, Lloyd Swartz; and three sisters, Frances Best, Stella Craig and Dorothy Slee.
