I find it very interesting that Falconer would not allow a merger of marching bands about 10 years ago, but they will do it for a boys sport. Makes me wonder about their priorities.

well if you don't make the basketball team the old adage was the to go out for the wrestling team, they clearly need participants as their numbers are way down across the county.

more than anything, the 18 school districts in Chautauqua County need to merge down to about 8-10.

From a basketball coaches standpoint, 10-11 kids is ideal for a basketball team. You have enough to practice for 2 teams and no one has to "sit the bench". Why Frewsburg didn't think 10 sign-ups was enough is beyond me. Now you have 15 kids on a team and a few of them will never play.
