Funny how it's "nobody's business" until someone tries to sell their home in your neighborhood and can only get a fraction of what one thinks their home is worth because a neighbor or two can't maintain their homes.

"What I do on my front porch is no buddies business". Tell the code enforcer this when people, including the paper boy, U.S. Mail service complain about odors or not able to get around debris or grass that's too high.

Most cities allow their residents to comingle, or mix (for those with a slightly lower IQ) their recyclables. Why doesn't Jamestown? I don't think most people see the problem because they're so use to things done for them. One sided thinking, as usual

Recycler no I don't have a life size growing through my house. Just how big is a life sized tree I ask. Mrs scallywag has plants growing all over the place and yes some are small trees. So the answer is yes. Trees don't grow through cement. Wrongo I just bought a big jug of weed killer to spray baby trees and weeds that were growing in the cracks in my side walk. Tractor supply sells this stuff 2.5 gallons for $75.00 it kills the stuff dead. Not just the little plants and weeds. It makes the soil stearil no more weeds I once had a tree growing through the hood of my car. No more drinking and driving after that little incident. That one goes way back. Before you had to wear a seat belt. Good thing it probably would have killed me. FYI trees don't grow through glass or chickens or nothin

James where did I call a name???? Yes I can be a bit of a name caller at times but not this time. So instead I will refer to the ignorance of you and bicycler. With no name calling I feel you Are two very insecure individuals that crave the acceptance of others. You tend to give objects human emotions. Should you leave the shelter of your small apartments you will discover there's a whole big world to be discovered. Did u In your infinent wisdom know that in most cases it takes more than twice the energy to recycle paper and plastics ya know those little hand dryers in public rest rooms how much energy do u think they soak up verses a friggin paper Towel it easier to maintain the rest room and over twice the expense. You boys are a bit misinformed on most subjects because of your own ignorance. Pure facts no name calling. I'm rubber and your epoxy what ever you say bounces off me and sticks onto you. After you chemically rub yourself Together and wait five minutes to cure. So there

Funny though, scallywag: Do you have a life size tree growing through your house? Trees do not grow through pavement, nor do they grow through buildings that people have claimed for themselves, 'you idiot'.

Jazzie. Special. Jazzie. Go ask art samples how many trees we plant each year. Our home is in the woods you idiot. Trees have a funny way of replanting themselves. Look a few years after a forest fire. Mother earth has been taking care of her self for thousands of years.

Why is it strange to need to place all recyclables at the curb? I didn't think people wanted cockroaches, ants and rats running around their homes, or am I mistaken? Would it be ok to only take garbage on certain weeks of the month, say the first and third?

What's not to get? Cant a person have an opinion without being branded stupid? The recycling system in Jamestown needs fixing much like other things. I got the gist of the second sentence if his last paragraph. How marvelous our stores are able to buy and build new stores on tight profits

Sounds like to me if some of you don't have beyond a sixth grade education. When you're not allowed to think your mind turns to mush. Mushy, 6th grade thinking.

And Scals..your "as far as I know, trees are a renewable source"...is this your excuse for destroying the Earth? Hmm? How many trees have you renewed this year? This decade? This century?

And Marchhare, my favorite squatter, what's not to understand about it? It makes perfect sense to me. Of course it wouldn't to a bunch of couch quarterbacks who see fit to criticize every thing they see. No wonder no one wants to come to your area and dole out decent jobs.

This entire letter makes no sense. Seems to me the BPU does a pretty good job picking up the recyclables. If you don't want them to clutter up your porch, put them in the basement or garage. What exactly is the compliant here?

If it ain't about politics or homosexuality, no one will ever get it...or care to. They'd rather have a bunch of Tim Horton's than some big recycling center.
