To The Reader’s Forum: Budget cuts-sequestration do not allow money for White House tours or fireworks for military bases on the Fourth but it doesn’t seem to defund Air Force One for political trips....

I think Obama has "evolved" beyond beer parties. He's most likely become accustomed to those $300 a bottle wines on a daily basis. After all, his promise of the most open and honest White House in our nation's history is the first administration that has refused to disclose their wine list consumption.

The president could emulate the great GW Bush and fly a fighter jet and use an aircraft carrier to make a memorable political statement. If there are no White House tours,or "fireworks" for military bases on the Fourth of July(except in IRAQ and Afghanistan),thank a Republican.George W. quit drinking before the brain damage became too evident physically."Now,watch this drive!"

monkey man, would you agree with the "train wreck" ...or do you still have your head in the sand. He campaigns and spends (wastes) 100's of millions laughing at you while he raises taxes on ridiculous things with 2700 pp. of fraudulent trashy taxes.

Hillary and I are the same age trust me, we are not up to the task. You don't see many fresh new faces because the old hacks just won't let go. There has to be many younger well qualified people in both parties that would be better than anyone I have heard of so far. It is their turn now.

That's right Oelwyn, it's all Bush's fault. Bush made Obama take his family on a $100 million vacation to Africa. Sequestration hasn't hurt the Obama family's travel budget. Mark my words, every summer for the rest of his Presidency, the Obama family will take 8 or 9-figure vacations so their girls can "see the world" on the taxpayer dime. Obama will take pages right out of the Clinton playbook in that regard.

Alright CHILDREN, Grow up. If you don't have anything more important to do, please find a place to volunteer. Bush went to Africa twice and his wife went there 5 times. Obama has been there once and his wife a couple times. When your party in NOT in the white house everything the sitting Pres does is a waste of tax money. But when your party is IN the white house it is always necessary. The biggest problem with this country is BOTH parties wasting our money and then spending even more to prove its the other guys fault. The main goal of each party is to have a elected dictatorship where they control house, senate, and White house so they can't be stopped. They want what Castro has, all the while telling us how bad a dictatorship is.

I do too, since he's not the problem.

Ah, the "vacation" rhetoric. Another FedUp signature. Also another FedUp signature? Conveniently forgetting Bush Jr's vacations and escapades. LOL, puts it in perspective real well.

Unfortunately for us, FedUp's foolishness is common.

Why does anybody go to Africa? The oldest peoples in the world haven't evolved from hacking and raping long enough to figure out how to get clean water. They still run slavery. But dance in the streets for Mandella. That will make everything hunky dory.

73 says: "... If you don't have anything more important to do, please find a place to volunteer. Bush went to Africa twice and his wife went there 5 times. Obama has been there once and his wife a couple times..." (The difference was Bushe went on a Govt. mission but Obama went on one of many luxury vacations, back to his home country and home town for a reunion.)
