"Do some work yourself for a change instead of always asking others to."

Easily one of the more childlike responses I've seen on this page.

Donkeyboy hasn't heard the story? Just goes to show he informs himself by watching CNBC and The Daily Show. And Emelye, are you kidding? Emelye, Emelye, Emelye what are we going to do with your brainwashed views. Now you say Obamacare was the Republicans idea! Anyone else on this planet think the same thing? Go ahead, please speak right up. Tell us how Obamacare was manufactured by the Republicans. I'm still waiting for Emelye to answer my last question to her. She insisted that vast portions of Obamacare were already performing very well. Well, in that case, what are they?

Lone, you have hit on something very important, the Dems want these laws to control us(and this one will, down to the very food we eat. Some states are already issuing prescriptions for vegetables for at-risk patients), yet the Democrat groups who wanted the law(so they thought), now want carve-outs and exemptions.

I neglected to state the obvious, that these idiot elected officials, you know the ones that think ethanol is a good thing and that Guam will tip over and capsize if over-populated, they vote of these bills that effect the way you live your life, like Obamacare@!

The only reason NY state is getting "rebates" is because the state has been implementing Obamacare and the charges are out-of-line with the rest of the states. That being said, the cost of insurance at the Obamacare exchanges in NY state, the cheapest plan is about $470 per month with a very high deductible. The "cut off" for any assistance from the government is $37,000 per year. Ain't is just grand? Have fun ducky, hope you make under $37,000 per year or you are going to have to pay, like the rest of us. And, we haven't even talked about the fact that Obamacare is killing full-time employment. All the new jobs being created are part-time, making it harder to pay those exchange premiums.

stop the lies stop the misinformation eg: ETNA,iNDEPENDENT hEALTH AND OTHERS HAVE ALREADY SENT OUT OVER 3 MILLION CHECKS this is due to the 80/20 rule already in place.. just one benefit (others to include no cap and free preventive health care) people: this is not rocket science: the larger pool the lower the cost.. as it is with any type of insurance.. a single payer system ( LIKE EVERY OTHER CIVILIZED NATION) is inevitable. Sea Dog: jesus h christ read a book or something.. BTW

Emelye, better idea than getting private money out of elections is term limits. Get these jerks, republicans and democrats out. Give them 12 years max to serve, either 2 Senate terms or 6 House terms or any combination that will give them 12 years and no more. Then, lets change the election process, so regular citizens can get elected, as the Constitution set out.

Really, there are alot of us that are more intelligent than most of those already elected...I use as my primary example, Hank Johnson, Georgia when he told an Admiral that Guam would "tip over and capsize" if they put more troops on the island. Really? That is more than embarassing.

Monkeyboy, where do you get these talking points? You libs skew one thing into another and none of it is true. Just because health care is expensive for companies pre-Obamacare, doesn't mean they wanted this liberty ending, governmental control-of-your-life law, that costs more than twice what they already had.

We all wanted less expensive healthcare-which this law DOES NOT DO. We need government to get the he11 out of healthcare, a subject they know nothing about.

Insurance across state lines is a great idea and would have an immediate effect on lowering the cost of health insurance.

Obamacare bill was sitting in Dem's desks and finally, with total control of the government in 2009-2010, the various bills were cobbled together by Congress, passed and signed by the emperor/king Obama, making it law. It was passed without ONE SINGLE REPUBLICAN VOTE! This horrendous, health-care, killing bill is not in any way, shape or form to be blamed on the Republicans. I blame them for not defunding this law.

Duckster, you are going to hate your healthcare under Obamacare, you are just to stupid to know it. So, please when it happens, do not complain, you helped bring us this mess.

Gah! The whining and complaining over this subject is getting really tiresome. If a Republican had been able to pass this - it was largely a Republican idea, don;t forget - the PJ would be singing its praises and ignoring the problems. As it was a Democrat who has his name on it, they gripe and moan every chance they get.

Instead of working toward making the law better for the American people the Republican House of Representatives keeps trying to just shut it down. 38 votes to repeal Obamacare, a complete waste of time and money, and not one viable alternative has come out of that body. They have an 83% disapproval rate but they don't seem to care? Why? Between their extreme gerrymandering and the fact that they don't represent the greater part of the American citizens, they feel their jobs are safe nonetheless.

Get private money out of congressional elections and then *maybe* we can get things like this fixed properly.
