I suspect the writer may not be familiar with CRTs (those old, bulky TVs and monitors) vs. flat screen LCDs. There's a "tsunami" of discarded CRTs because of the switch to flat panel LCDs. The problem with CRTs is that they contain a lot of lead glass, which is what the Nulife technology recovers through incineration. There's also a "tsunami" of discarded LCD flat panels because people are trading up to newer technologies, like OLEDs. The problem with LCD flat screen disposal, though, isn't lead, it's CCFLs.
