If Route 76 is good enough, why are the State workers who are working on 474 using the Clymer-Sherman road instead of their own road? Could it be that 76 is too rough for the dump trucks?

That is the worse section of road I have traveled on. Now I go that other road that goes right into Clymer instead of to N. Clymer. Should be fixed ought to fun driving in the winter this year. The state needs to fix it before something bad happens.

I usually travel that road when heading to Erie or Ripley. After a trip over there last week, I will go to the Stedman exit from now on.

The WHOLE stretch of 76 from Sherman to N. Clymer needs immediate attention. There is no "dodging" the potholes. They are everywhere. But, hey, maybe we can do more work on 394 in Lakewood, because, let's face it, that's where the money is and goes. We country hicks don't deserve the help. (hint of sarcasm??)

Wcounty, trust me, I know what road they are talking about. I grew up on that road. The section between I-86 and Sherman isn't the problem. At the end of the article they stated they were repaving that section.

The stretch from I-86 to Main Street in Sherman is less than a mile. Thanks a lot state! Go back to working on grabbing our guns.

@Yankee there is no avoiding the potholes on that stretch of road it is very dangerous in fact it mimics the stretch of road on the I86 thru the Reservation. @ Holly10berry the stretch of road they are talking about starts at the I86 and RT76 (exit 6) and heads south to Clymer from Sherman. As usual the State is playing dumb about the complaints as they sure have more then the letter from the town just not admitting it and like the State workers do not know how bad the road is they have to plow it and it is just as dangerous for them as it is for the rest of us.

If the stretch between I-86 and Clymer is bad, then why are they doing between I-86 and Sherman? It's the state at it's finest!

Sounds like most roads around here. Learn where the holes are and swerve around them. There is just no money left to fix the road after lining all those pockets with it. The pockets of those who don't work that is.
