When are State and local policy makers going to get it? Be competitive or lose the businesses paying the bulk of our taxes.

We sock aircraft operators with high taxes on their fuel needs, landing fees, parking fees, ramp fees and then wonder why airplanes over fly local airports in favor of business friendly airports in nearby state

What's a ten minute plane ride to save a hundreds of dollars on operating costs.

Sell Dunkirk Airport and experience the likelihood of a private entrepreneur picking the Jamestown Airport clean of their remaining users. Close the Jamestown Airport and watch Cummins and other active business users leave Jamestown for greener pastures. Oh well we don't need them until our tax dollar money runs dryer. This is exactly what is happening as more and more businesses and taxpayers run from our community. We have been run aground by the political ignorance of those in off who do not understand competition and a public who remains unfazed & disengaged.

Why would anyone around here buy it when they can have their cake and eat it too?? The county needs to increase the rate of rental for hangars or leases so that purchase would be more profitable than leasing or renting. If you have low rental or lease and the county foots the bill for everything, you would be crazy to buy. Let's increase the cost and make a profit for the taxpayers and do it now!
