Right conclusions, strange reasons.

It's very simple. PE=-R Poor economy equals no Raises.

It may even equal less pay some day. Get used to it or do something to improve the economy.

The man who wants prayer and the pledge out of county meetings, the man that wants welfare expanded to the fullest, suddenly becomes righteous in a strange way.

You will never get a qualified leader at $42K to run the complexities of this $600Million business. Yes running the county is a business, a very large business providing services to the county residents whether they work and contribute to the economy or just take our service monies. I wonder how Mr Hoyer feels about his $9000 year stipend for about six hours of work a month. Attend one committee meeting and one legislative meeting and you are done. Don't be fooled most legislators do not, and I repeat do not, spend more than a couple hours a month preparing for either of their two monthly County meeting. Ask your rep for a honest answer no need to swear on a stack of bibles. Maybe Mr Hoyer spends more time or maybe he spends less but will he be giving back his $9K salary before*****freezes over. I doubt it.

The wages of the County Executive, County Clerk, and Sheriff need to be brought into the 21st Century.

That being said both Mr. Edwards and Mrs. Sopak wont benefit from any said raises.

Im a lifelong Democrat and frankly I feel like they both deserve something in the way of a bonus for their years of service.
