wake up 'duckster' and educate yourself on the history of the Senecas and other tribes--the problem is in Albany with the bully governor.

I am so sick and tired of Indian vs the rest of us!

They want their "freedom" but keep taking advantage of the taxpayers.

Fight New York State, but then force monies for the I86 rebuild project. Fight NYS, but don't pay a dime for those on Public Assistance. Fight NYS, but don't pay a dime for Public Services, ie: Fire, Police, Roads etc. Obtain Federal funds for "a treaty" that dates back to 1789.

I so wish, that we could just give them some land and allow for a "new country" to be created.

Lets offer our property for a price and let them have new york state!@

not a big fan of the natives (making money off of other's misfortune) However, if we are really going to be honest with ourselves .... a treaty is a treaty and BTW: they were here first..

Wasn't it the state's alleged violation of its own Exclusivity guarantee/promise with the Seneca that started this whole mess? It appears that Albany is now saying that if the Senecas keep insisting that the state stop its cheating and live up to its agreement , then the state won't pick up the Compact renewal option through 2021; thereby effectively ending Seneca operations in April 2016. Somehow, I get the feeling that many years ago little Andy Cuomo was well known for taking his ball and going home when he couldn't get his way on the playground.

The Oneidas gave up their ancient land claims for money. Indians in general are tigers over every shovel of dirt and every scrap of grave goods when it is only science being sacrificed. But the Senecas are*****the torpedoes, full speed ahead no matter how many archaeological sites are obliterated at Hanover when real money is the issue. Indians are no different than any other people and that is no compliment.

"Gaming" ? Stinking weasel word. It's GAMBLING. Could we have a little more truth and a little less propaganda? I'd think you would have more concern for professionalism and credibility.

First the state screwed the Nation on the cigarette tax. All because of the $$$. Now they want to screw them on Casinos and what was in the original contracts signed. Again the $$$. Apparently the word of this state is not worth the paper it is written on. This state does not need more casinos. The ones that currently exist are beautiful. This state needs to be a better partner with the Nation so all can benefit, mostly the surrounding areas.
