Ambulance service is he most lucrative service in medical field today. While Obamacare pus a choke hold on Doctor and Hospital reimbursements the curriers rake it in by charging outrageous prices for ambulance service, most of which is picked up by taxpayers who have to pay for medicaid for needless "taxi" rides to the hospital.

Alstar can dish out the cash for new vehicles but can not afford to pay the workers better? Most Emt-B medics makes as much as a Burger King Worker. A Paramedic makes as much as a Wal-Mart People Greater! And these are the people saving lives! Alstar should focus on treatment of workers more than a new logo!

Exactly right redwater7!! Nothing will fix the image Alstar has with their employee's, from the EMT's to the office staff the "company" is unsupportive of their employee's, the only reason the EMT's stay is because they LOVE what they do and believe in helping others, no doubt if another service was able to set up shop Alstar would be left without any employees, it is a very aggravating place to work...

Non-profits should not spend more than ten percent of their budget on image/communication.

Anyone donate to Alstar? Are you satisfied that your money is not saving lives, just making payments on a mercedes and a slick paint job?

Alstar is not non-profit, the hospital is non-profit but Alstar is for profit, which means if they are able to buy new vehicles they are making a profit but ask the employee's if they have seen any of that profit?!?!?! Although I do understand it's important for EMT's to have good quality equipment to do their jobs
