Geez, you read a couple of the comments here and they are sooo negative. Our new BOCES District Superintendent Dr. David O'Rourke is highly skilled and was raised here in the county. A strong education, quite intelligent and caring; with all this working for him I am sure Jtown will have a solid Superintendent candidate presented. As for the negativity, just an example of why this county is where it is today-too much bit*hing and not enough demanding of our government , except when you blog. You are either part of the solution or part of the problem.

There are at least five people listed on the interview committee Who do not live in Jamestown, have no children in the district or are not JPS employees. One individual didn't receive tenure as a JPS teacher but is now qualified to help select the new educational leader in Jamestown.

Why are the voices of city taxpayers, teachers, parents of students, and business sector mostly unheard in this process. Currently at the table are too many of the "steakholders" who grossly benefited financially for the district and greasing the slide for more handouts!

The best way to accomplish nothing is to use a committee.

Who ever has the job awarded to them should be from Jamestown and not another state, Tired of our tax dollars with high paying job going to people not from here , it's B.S.!!!!
