Well said "Concerned Citizen". This is exactly what this commercial area of the city needs more of.

Kudos to the City Development Department and the property owner for getting this done.

Too bad for the county government however. They now have to spend the necessary funds in that building with no tenant, instead of spending it to satisfy and keep their current tenant.

It sounds like the County Executive went to the Andy Goodell School of Contract Negotiation. Ask for too much, try to prove a point and wind up with nothing to show for it.

It certainly sounds like Mr. Edwards "out smarted" himself on this one. Penny wise and pound foolish!

It's too bad that the USDA offices are moving, but maybe if Cooperative Extension and Chautauqua County hadn't neglected the building for many, many years, the people in Washington that are in charge of all local USDA decisions would allow the county USDA offices to stay where they have been for many years.

Fantastic News for Jamestown. Kudos to anyone that was involved in getting the USDA to lease in the City. Should be a good addition to Fluvanna Ave and maybe spark interest for busineeses to relook at this area as a place to locate.
