Malematters,Troglodyte, You are both right on the money. This article was a lot of hooey. It's a shame that these organization don't have the new, fresh young leadership that they need. We are still singing the same old worn out songs that do not fit the times.

Here is just one of many reasons women average lower pay than men while receiving the same rate of pay:

Mind you, these are some of the most sophisticated, educated women in the country CHOOSING to earn less than their male counterparts in the exact same profession.

A thousand laws won't close that gap.

In fact, no law yet has closed the gender wage gap.

Conservatives would say: don't get mad; get rich. Liberals prefer: get sympathy and take control. If you believe malicious discrimination is the main reason for average pay inequality, start a business. Hire only women. Split the difference between women's average pay and the overall average. Your employees would be better off than other women and you could undersell the competition. Seeing your success, others would follow. Ultimately the problem would magically vanish but no fun or grandstanding for you.
