Increasing the school day or school year shouldn't automatically increase teacher costs. They already have better compensation packages than private industry and only work 9 months a year.

"Gov. Andrew Cuomo's 2 percent tax cap was designed to force tough decisions about local government spending." Self-serving idiot. The 2% cap saved me 90.00 US dollars while destroying a local school and removing 12+ middle class incomes from this wonderful city. Nice work.

I agree, but communities need to come together and accept the fact that it needs to happen.

New York State needs to possibly establish county school boards that administer all of the schools.

Better yet, are getting communities to realize that a combined school is better.

Only suggestions, but from a distance, this is what I would suggest.

- Why wasn't Westfield, Brocton & Ripley included in the Mayville / Chautuaqua Lake Merger? - Sherman & Clymer - Maple Grove & Cassadaga - Falconer & Frewsburg - Randolph Should have been included with Catt - Little Valley, but since that didn't occur, bring Randolph and Pine Valley together. - Instead of more money into Ellicottville, there should be a combo with West Valley - Hinsdale & Franklinville
