ah yes the robin hood scenario--like taking from the middle class tax payers and giving it -courtesy of loans from china--to those rich and greedy job producers. IS THAT WHAT YOU MEANT MAC?

The left prefers to take the money from someone who earned it and give it to someone who has done nothing to earn that money. And, they think the one NOT working is entitled to other peoples' money, OPM. Their solution is to take from the rich.

How much money has been taken from others to fund the poor? Trillions. Are their less poor people now? NO. Why not? According to your leftist logic, there should not be anymore poor people based on the amount we spend on them. How many poor, who get redistributed money say to themselves, " I am so grateful to these people who pay taxes so that the government can give it to me, that I am going to work hard with what they give me, lift myself up and out of this poverty". Very few is my guess!

This is a great letter. You can always tell the good letters, it makes the lefties rant, mindlessly. So, let me get this straight. The letter correctly states facts about unwed mothers, teenage mothers, no fathers in the homes etc. A way out of poverty is values, a mother and a father in the home(at least to start with). Kids tend to have more supervision in families and are less likely to get into trouble. They also tend to finish school and have more direction. So, if these things aren't happening, break the negative, destructive cycle, now. If you believe they have a right to have babies, you also have to believe they have the reponsibility to raise them. Yes, that means pay for them. Don't ask me to pay for your children, I didn't make the decision to have that child.

But, the left really doesn't want to hear of a way of getting out of poverty, especially when it requires an effort to do so, you know, WORK!

tax increase for the "wealthy"--or cuts to the middle and poor class--now there's a real dilemma for us all-which should we support?

perhaps Boehner's budget will help those at or below the poverty level. But wait, it's the same ryan plan rejected just months ago. Didn't cpac recently promise to reach out to everyone? Were ryan and the house righties listening?

A little pricey but in reality the least expensive love you will ever have. Sorry I forgot its not a government hand out yet. I don't think. Maybe it is. I can't keep up with that side of society. I have a company to run and taxes to pay

We live in a Darwinian world, where being less well endowed in any way is a heavy burden to carry. Having to raise a child without the full support of a partner is hard. It's hard to do it without the support of parents, too.

As a society, we could make things better for those stuck in bad situations, but instead, we scorn them. Hpow many times have you seen the mocking comments about welfare queens or the 47%?

Not everyone gets to have the ideal life ... or offer it to others.

some above,at, or below the poverty level would agree, I'm sure, that a decent wage, and more importantly a job would help.

billraynor "The social rise of women to the level of equality has been shown to curb poverty."

Proof please while sticking to context of the articular that is talking about WOMEN staying in the Family Unit.

Problem is the Women do not want to submit to authority of a man OVER them. The women get all riled up because oh no your subject to a MAN!

Well if the man feeds her, cloths her, nurturers her, provides for her emotional, spiritual and physical needs as a loving husband willing to lay his life down for his BRIDE what more could a woman want than INTERDEPENDENCE?

THIS is true marriage. This is the marriage that the author is talking about.

Gioallie, you're still ranting about 'reddit' even though reddit is not the original source for any of these reports. And you're still ranting about hitchens even though he is only one source out of many. The Lancet is a major source for these reports. Many internal eye witnesses are the source. The Canadian journal of theology's investigation is another source. The documents from the Keating Trial another source. These are the actual sources, not 'reddit', lol. And a minute ago you claimed 'reddit' was the source of the pain med claims [a blatant falsehood] but now you say you find the claims credible...You're all over the place.

Religion clouds an otherwise clear mind. Don't agree? Look at geoallie.

Fredonia--I don't take my cues from anyone, nor do I care if you or anyone else agrees with my opinions. You know who and what the hitchen's camp is,and who and what reddit is, and their underlying motives for the attacks on mother Teresa. I have agreed with the reports of the conditions in some of the 600+ missions, that is credible, and anyone with an open mind can understand that --but you can ignore that and continue --I respect your right to your opinion.Good nite.
