loneriderrr1,"Obama pledges $2 billion to alternative fuels, transportation" This is spending that will create a return. I suppose you would just want to pick a country to invade and spend 10 billion a month. We have to invest in our future - we can't just lay down and let the world go by until we are a third world country as you want it. Return spending, good debt, you have never heard about these - oh - maybe you did during Reagan years but it was OK then.

What conflicting accounts, unless of course you mean the ones by Obama and the contradiction by carney. Now there is two polar opposite accounts. And for once I have to believe jay carny.

"A former agent blasted President Obama for blaming the Secret Service for the decision to shut down White House tours, calling it “an act of political cowardice” on Your World with Neil Cavuto this afternoon. Dan Bongino explained that the agency’s job is to provide security for the White House; it does not determine who comes in. “To say that this was the Secret Service, and that they somehow injected themselves into a political decision — well, do they get to tell [the president] to stop taking vacations and to stop going golfing as well?” Bongino said. “This doesn’t even pass the smell test.”

"Obama says in an interview with ABC News aired Wednesday that the decision to cancel the tours in the wake of budget cuts was made by the Secret Service, citing the need to furlough some employees. “This was not a decision that went up to the White House,” Obama said.
That seemed to contradict his spokesman, Jay Carney, who said last week that the Secret Service presented the White House with options for cuts including canceling tours or furloughing staff, and the White House decided to suspend tours" Yea blame the secret service because they are not allowed to contradict him in their own defense. At least talking head Jay Carney told the truth for once.

Talk about letting the sunshine in:
Carney: White House Cancelled Tours Contradicts Obama. 1:04 PM, MAR 13, 2013 • BY DANIEL HALPER
Jay Carney contradicted President Obama today by admitting the White House in fact cancelled tours of the White House, not the Secret Service:
So giopitt, even his press secretary knows Obama lied. What is MSNBC saying about this? Can't wait for your response to THIS FACT FROM JAY CARNEY, THE WHITE HOUSE PRESS SECRETARY that you can't dispute. Maybe your hero isn't such a hero after all? Another day, another lie.

The sequester took place MARCH 1, 2013. The SS is still working under the current budget, and no cuts have been made. You will never see the facts and you will never believe the facts as solid as they are.
And by the way, if Barry ordered the SS to bring back the tours do you really believe they would say no? Keeping drinking that kool-aid.

see dog--oh I did my research--"The US secret service told cnn thursday, that they plan to end all WH tours behinning 3-9, that's 3-9 see dog, NOT THE DATE YOU THINK THE SEQUESTER WILL STATE. THE PRES. HAS ASKED THE SECRET SERVICE TO BRING BACK TOURS FOR STUDENTS. - I'M NOT INTERESTED IN CONTINUINALLY REFUTING YOUR FOX "STORIES" and posting the rest of the story for you. Bring something relevant to the table--if you can---SEE YA.

"secret service furloughs due to the "cuts" then check back"
Giopitt - those cuts have not taken place! The sequester is a CUT TO FUTURE SPENDING and does NOT effect current budgets. I know that fact isn't covered under the Obama talking points but if you bothered to do your own research, you would know that.

It's great news giopitt. I made a lot of money this last month. Good thing Barry's gloom and doom didn't do what he said it would.

see dog--you shifted gears from the market surge and wether you are pleased about that success or not--into a fox story about closing wh tours. Please research your latest accusations into the rest of that story, possibly on a more credible independent site, regarding secret service furloughs due to the "cuts" then check back------ As far as documented wasteful spending, I can agree.

"What's important to UNDERSTAND is that not EVERYONE will feel the pain of these cuts RIGHT AWAY."
He finally told the truth - "NOT EVERYONE WILL FEEL THE PAIN RIGHT AWAY" especially Michelle, the kids and him. Golf, vacations, Adelle, Beyonce, trips, etc. He's right, he won't feel ANY pain, just the middle class tax payer.
So how about it giopitt? Let the kids walk the dog and a computer do the invites. There's $377k a year he could put towards re-opening the PEOPLE'S HOUSE for tours.

"What's important to UNDERSTAND is that not EVERYONE will feel the pain of these cuts RIGHT AWAY.
Oh, I see, the world isn't coming to an end just yet. It will take a while according to your hero.
"One question though giopitt. Since this is NOT a cut to current budgets, but a cut TO FUTURE SPENDING, how will this destroy America as we know it. And if that is true, shouldn't Barry's kids walk the dog and save the taxpayers $100k per year? Or how about this:
"White House invitations recreated using computer, despite $277G spent on calligraphers March 13, 2013: "Are three White House calligraphers really worth $277,000? While the three-person calligraphy staff was paid that much in salary last year, according to White House records, WUSA 9 in Washington, D.C., conducted an experiment of sorts, using a computer to mimic the kind of White House invitations the calligraphers are responsible for.
Here's $377 in cuts,now will you answer?

now see dog--aren't lonerudider and yourself the folks who rant about incomplete quotes? Of course you are--but I can understand your desperation and denial--these are the presidents own words, not your fox talking points, and or abreviated quote--"what's important to understand is that not everyone will feel the pain of these cuts" this is what you conveniently left out--"right away." Is there anything else I can help you with? MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD--but try to be truthful.

If the Country is being brought to it's knees due to the sequester here's $377k Barry could save in a minute and re-open the White House. Is that asking too much?

Listen carefully, you won't hear this from your source----"What's important to UNDERSTAND is that not EVERYONE will feel the pain of these cuts RIGHT AWAY." Aren't facts fun? I thought Barry said the world was ending, the market would decline, teachers, police, and firemen would be laid off and kids would starve if the sequester came about. The only thing that happened is he closed THE PEOPLE'S HOUSE while keeping his $100k per year dog walker. He should be ashamed of himself.
