Beichner, if your not against the closure then why say anything. The last thing we need is to cut education to the youth. They need to be given every opportunity possible, they are the future and we need OUR children to be educated just as well as any senators child.

In polite company one would address her as Mrs. Beichner. Secondly, there is (sadly) no justification for mainting a school budiling with a capacity over 300 stduents while all of 80 students attend the building. The School and community must find a solid solution as to what to do with this building, but your comments are of NO help and are an attack. Savings result from closure even accounting for fixed costs.

I know when I was in school my class size was close to 20 kids from K all the way up to 5th grade at Cassadaga's elementary school. So my opinion, LARGE classroom sizes are fine, yes I know its a little harder to teach a large class but they did it just fine when I was there, and they do it at the High School just fine, so why not in the Elementary School. Also it will make it easier going into 6th grade because you will know everyone. Close the Elementary School in Cassadaga, and turn it into a Community Center on one side and put in Senior Independent Living on the other. As for the teachers Move them to Sinclairville or have them run after school programs for the kids and during the day they could run adult classes.
