This is a good example of the people redressing government. Just imagine if everyone would stand up for their rights! The court should overturn this but then again, this is NY! I encourage everyone to stand up against the government, remember, Obama's health law is about to begin!

What they passed isn't going to stop the criminal who wants to shot up things. The law abiding citizen who waits to get his permit isn't going to do that. I think that it is wrong to list names of addresses of persons who have guns or permits you are giving the criminal and easy way to get them, I don't want people watching my house and see when i leave and break in. They just shouldn't do that.

What annoys me the most about the SAFE act is how they mixed serious, sensible and, in some cases, long past due reforms with ridiculous and arbitrary bans and magazine limits. If the bill had been brought through the normal procedures maybe some of the stupidity in it could have been removed.

If the court hearing fails to force a reconsideration then I sure hope the legislature will revisit the law to remove the onerous and useless parts.

Sweet teddy, also lets not forget what Adolph Cuomo did to H.U.D. in the 90's when on staff with the clintons, for you who don't remember,[or those of you who would rather forget] he bankrupted the program because of his inability to manage not only the people under him,but money as well! And now we have this ineffective big mouth politician who has mastered the dog and pony show as our governor. Whats even harder to understand is this knee jerk politician and his dog and pony show have a following!Go figure! Most that follow don't know what work is.unless you consider checking on line to see if your entitlement[handout for no worked performed] check has been deposited in your free checking account!! NO PATRIOTS WILL BE FOUND IN THIS BUNCH!!!! The time is near to decide which side of the fence your on. loyalist to Adolph Cuomo,or a patriot to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I for one choose patriotism so my children can know what their ancestors were fighting for.

Andy the Man in 2016. A wanna be hero. He truly is a ZERO! Remember this in 2016 when he gets the dem nod for president. The only reason he did this was to prove to the Dems that he is that much more to the left of Hilary. Andy needs to be way over to the left to get the nod and keep the dems adgenda of ruining this once great nation. Folks we need a revolution. Don't Lower yourself by voting for this S*it Heel.

The ole ugly beast in albany strikes again. This law does absolutely zero in protecting anyone. This law makes the political hacks and their gun phob followers feel better. I hope this goes to the supreme court and gets out of nys democratic controlled monkey court.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep discussing what to have for lunch, liberty is a well armed sheep disputing the vote!!!! the time is near to decide if you are a loyalist, or a patriot. To bad Cuomo doesn't worry about education as much as he does about about gun laws. Where the h%## as all the lottery money gone. Not one of these political jack%**es has one once of honesty or integrity. What will you come up with next Adolph Cuomo? One can only imagine!!!

At night in mid-January?

It was voted on by the state senate at 11p.m. on the very first evening of the legislative session. No one was in town the previous two days so there was certainly no way it could have been mulled for the required three.

But that didn't matter to Cuomo -- sheer arrogance.

What amazes me is : how does it get to this point. All the time and effort and BS involved to defend a right that is perfect and fundamental. BEYOND DUMB.

Should be overturned. However, we will see if the courts can be bought.

I don't like circumventing procedures unless it's a true emergency, like a fire or war. Unlike a lots of folks, I'm not upset by the contents of the new laws, but I think it should have been done properly or not at all. I think this calls for a do over.

my words from a few days ago.The COMRADE CUOMO MANIFESTO is BS of the highest degree. It will accomplish nothing except anoint him as the knee-jerk-political-agenda-look-what-I-did-slammed-in-legislation-NY-led-the-charge-soulless-SHEEP-wanna-be herder. JOKE. NY State surely will be up for the 2013 clueless state of the year award. 2A = PERFECT AS IS. Stock Up, Load Up. STAND. Sheepville : NOT an option.

Thank you to the 21 legislatures who voted to repeal the unSAFE act. Also, the idea of reciting the oath of office at each meeting might be good to do until Duff, Hoyer, and DeJoy understand what defending the constitution means!

It is just wrong! Cuomo is just like his father! I think he just trying to show his DAD that he is a bigger PR--k then he was!

Should be a slamm dunk. But liberals control the courts in NYS. But clear is clear.

Also, Buffalo Based attorney, James Tresmond, has a possible injunction if the state does not prove this law to be constitutional by April
