If you have kids and have not gone, event time or not, to the audubon you are missing out. We call it the Jamestown Safari LOL. Great staff as well. My favorite? The Halloween/Autumn walk... No scary stuff at all, but a bunch of highly enthusiastic adults, dressed as woodland creatures no less, explaining themselves as the animal. About 9 stations over a 200 yard loop/trail for those wondering. Kids LOVE it but, even with a modest sense of humor as an adult, you will need to mentally, physically, and spirtually prepare yourself for what you are about to witness. Don't get me wrong, it is very well done, but Mr. Skunk sent me over the edge. Adding fuel to the fire was my wife's look after my first giggle.
