You should just vote "Present". It worked out really well for Obama.

We need to continue to call Mrs. Cornell to tell her that we want the county home sold to Mr. Rothner. The county website lists her phone number 720-1845

The county home will be sold because the people are visionaries and know the potential of what the county home could be with private owership.
Remember whitney, cornell and hoyer. These are three who are stopping growth for their own ideology. They need to be voted out of office in nov.

Lori cornell recused herself. Not only is it a slippery slope but cornell is a slippery person. Her political future in Chautauqua county is over.
I don't believe she could get elected dog catcher in a county wide position.

We won't get the chance to vote Cornell out of the ligislature. She's going to run for county clerk while Vickye James runs in her place for the newly redesigned legislative district.

More accurately a perceived conflict is more of a profound truths that America as we approach it and is no longer one nation under God. We are really two separate nations with two distinct and incompatible moral visions. We are two nations occupying the same piece of real estate and engaged in a giant culture tug-of-war for that real estate. We find ourselves currently collecting politicians who use this concept of two Americas to divide us into warring groups. Bikes are pitted against whites, rich against poor, Democrats against Republicans, Christians against Jews, consumers against capitalists, men against women, and so on. The truth is that different people do have different ideas of how America should look. But it is a lot simpler than a complicated smorgasbord of competing interests. There are just too basic competing visions for America. These encompass all the various special interest groups. These two views can be characterized as either support for or opposition to the Chris

Anyway, I support Cornell for her vote for one reason.... She has the real understanding of the home, not the hearsay, that is on the street.

Cornell should vote the way the constituents want her to vote, and that is an overwhelmentaly yes for the sale of the home to anybody that will take it.

In an abstract way there is indeed a conflict of interest here. However, if Lori is really going to be honest with the voters and herself.. she should not cop out. Either way it is pretty clear that her political career is over. My hunch is that she is a nice person who will do ok in the real world. She holds a degree from a prestigious school and will land on her feet. Lori... start preparing yourself for a gig with no more stipends, mileage or monthly cash for sitting around meetings doing nothing.

Cornell was voted into office by those who expect her to do their business. When she decides to go against those who put her in office, she is history and the rest of us outside of her district can see what she is and has no chance of winning any election for any job that serves the people. She simply gives the finger to those who voted her in office. Who would elect someone like that, she has a public record that she can not over come.
Just cant wait till November so we, the voters can really voice our opinion.

We can vote on selling the home by voting for those that would do our business. If you voted for someone and they refuse to do your business, vote against them. The majority will have their way. Sooner or later.

I have NEVER gotten a reason why this home should be treated any different than the many other privately owned homes in the county.
Isnt Dunkirk one of the lowest rated (1 star) homes in the county?

It appears as though Ms. Cornell reclused herself because the voters in her district had already made it clear to her that The Home needed to be sold, if it were going to survive as a Nursing Home. Ms. Cornell went against all of the facts regarding the sale and also negated the taxpayers view on the sale. Having her grandmother in the Home has absolutely nothing to do with the sale of the Home. Mr. Whitney and Mr. Hoyer should attempt to cry as well, because the voters in their districts feel the same as those in Ms. Cornells! THE HOME MUST BE SOLD TO SURVIVE!!!!!!

Bulldog, you are correct about Mrs. Cornell running for county clerk, but James, Whitney and Hoyer are all in the same new district. Two of them will be gone by default.

Whomever runs for Cornell's seat in November will be hand picked by her. Perhaps it will be her husband Chuck. Remember this Jamestown voters come November.

Harold, thank you for the info,
that means we all get to vote on lori cornell, i cant wait. Cornells husband, i hope he runs, the voters wont forget the cornells attitude towards the voters.
Hoyer and whitney have their own agenda based on their social ideology and not the peoples wishes.
Things are looking pretty good.

Government should be judged on how the least of us (the poor and otherwise disadvantaged) are treated. Having said this I still believe in my heart that the Home should still be sold..hmm
