For the economic stress, the answer is simple according to a frequent PJ poster - just go out and get a better job. To hear him talk, they are plentiful and easy to obtain. Funny how 90% of job listings are part time, near minimum wage, with no or terrible benefits. And people I know of that have been out of work, and have skills and experience, struggle just to get an interview, let alone get hired. Stress??? You bet.

This could have a much better article though I am happy Mental Health is getting attention.it is my understanding with first responders it is not always best for people to have to try and process these events immediately after the traumatic event. We learned this the hard way after 9/11 so hopefully the crisis team is aware of this. Also ONly small parts of COI are funded by the county and there is so much more to local mental health than you even came close to mentioning. These issues are worthy of a whole series of articles that would be much more informative and accurate than this one.
