Just got a newsletter last week from the mayor and it says January 2013 on the top and the mayor talks about this grant. What is interesting is that he makes it sound like the village has not heard anything yet when this article today says that he knew about it last month. As a resident I would like to know when this mayor is going to tell us the truth about anything at all. You just can't believe anything he says and that is to bad. Maybe Celoron did not get this because he lied on the application and got caught. With his history of lying it would not be a surprise if that is what really happened. You are right rightsideup, this did not have anything to do with jobs. At least Bemus Point is making improvements to support the businesses there. That can't happen in Celoron because there are no businesses left by the park. Like his boardwalk the village is going nowhere under Keeney and why would any tourist want to come to Celoron. There is nothing here to see except druggies.

The grant was to improve local Infrastructure and create new jobs where does building a boardwalk meet those requirements. $36,000.00 from tax payers wasted. Shameful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Residents you need a new mayor - He really needs to meet and be debriefed as to why he was not funded? Thankfully the state officials awarding funds had enough sense to not fund this project.

Let us not forget the Buffalo Bills. The state can give millions to renovate a stadium for rich football players and the team owner.

Suprise, suprise, Bemis gets funding and Celoron does not. This should not be a suprise to anyone who knows the politics of Chautauqua County.
