#5 - The GOP does not want to do away with the electoral college, they want to change it (split the electoral votes in the swing states) so that the republican will easily win that state. It has been shown how Romney would have won using this technique with everyone voting exactly as they did. Another deceptive move by the republicans just as the voter ID blunder and making minorities wait 8 or more hours to vote, etc., etc. The republicans are cheating to win. When these red states that voted blue this last election start to mess with the electoral college the democrats need to be on the ball to stop that madness.

Re: Electoral college: If you hate democracy, you hate America. This "Ten things" thing is just the P-J trying to catch up to the 21st century. Seems oddly out of place, but could become a good feature. Just another way of saying, "Here are the top headlines, plus the top things of no importance that people are all worked up over for no sensible reason".
