Greifen Piano Trio In JCA Event
By Robert W. Plyler family@post-journal.com The Greifen Piano Trio brought an evening of challenging and exciting music to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Friday evening. The concert was the second in the current season of the Jamestown Concert Assn. The musicians in the trio are violinist Lin He, cellist Rintaro Wada and pianist Ritsuko Wada. They chose a relatively unfamiliar and a technically demanding program, yet they offered no program notes, nor any introduction from the stage. Even the program announcement in the printed program included no description of how many movements would be performed, nor the composers’ descriptions for the movements. Despite this, the large audience was attentive and deeply involved, throughout the concert. The first half of the program was presented in duets.
