Local Music Showcase
Steve Johnson will play three times this weekend as part of the Local Music Showcase — first at Mojo’s at 9 p.m. with the Steve Johnson Band, then solo at Forte at 10 p.m. and finally with Big Leg Emma at Shawbucks at 11:30 p.m.

Downtown Jamestown will be bustling Saturday as bands and solo musicians fill the city’s many bars, restaurants and other venues for the fifth annual Local Music Showcase. A benefit event for the Infinity Performing Arts Program, Local Music Showcase has come to be synonymous with quality local entertainment and downtown Jamestown in recent years. Beginning Friday with street-corner acoustic performances and the Mojo’s kickoff show with Ra Ra Riot, Local Music Showcase kicks into high gear Saturday with upward of 45 bands in a dozen of the city’s venues. The event puts a spotlight on the area’s talented and diverse local music scene — as well as the importance of the Infinity Performing Arts Program. Established in 1998, the Infinity Performing Arts Program is a music education, recording technology and performing arts program dedicated to building the resiliency of youth through the performing arts.
