Ready For Postseason

The Jamestown Jammers are entering the postseason on a roll. The Jammers defeated the Williamsport Crosscutters, 9-5, for their fifth straight win to end the New York-Penn League regular season. Jamestown, the NY-P League wild card, begins postseason play on Monday at 7:05 p.m. at Diethrick Park when it plays host to the Staten Island Yankees, the McNamara Division champion, in the opening game of a best-of-three series. Game 2 and Game 3, if necessary, will be at Staten Island on Wednesday and Thursday. The Jammers clinched the wild-card berth on Friday night and they still had a chance to capture the Pinckney Division title on Saturday if they won and Batavia lost. However, Batavia defeated State College, 4-1. Batavia will play at Stedler Division winner Lowell on Monday and then host Game 2 and Game 3, if necessary, on Wednesday and Thursday. Jamestown and Batavia finished tied for the Pinckney Division title, but the Muckdogs won the championship with a better winning percent
