Are you serious about digital photography? If you are serious about digital photography then you should be using Photoshop. If you shoot hundreds of digital images a week, or even a month, then you probably should also be using Lightroom. You don’t have to have an expensive DSLR, any type of digital camera will do, especially if you shoot in the RAW format. Adobe, the maker of Photoshop, and other fine Apps, has a deal for you.
This is not news, and it is still a pretty good deal. Maybe you saw this deal a while back, or maybe you missed it. As you may know, Adobe now wants us all to subscribe to their software. Adobe called it Creative Cloud. When this all started, Photoshop was $20 a month, or you could get the whole suite for $50/month. Not a bad deal if you need most of the apps in the Adobe Master Suite collection. For just Photoshop on its own, $19.95/month compared to $800 for a disc doesn’t sound too bad. As long as you were planning on updating regularly, it sort of saves money doing the Creative Cloud (CC).
Now on to the ‘deal’ – Adobe is still offering a special deal that includes the latest version of Photoshop CC, Lightroom 5, and 20GB of online storage. You get all this for only $9.95/month. This is not a student discounted version, but the full retail version of both current programs – only $9.95/month.
The idea behind Adobe CC is that you get the very latest versions of whatever software you subscribe to. You no longer have to buy CS3 and then skip over to CS5.5 because it costs too much to upgrade every year. Now, you just pay your 10 bucks a month and you have access to the latest versions of Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5.
This is available for the Macintosh and Windows both.
