Family Service Receives Flag Donation

To The Reader’s Forum:

Sgt Peter Carlo is a well-known member of our Jamestown community. He is an esteemed Korean War veteran and is extremely involved in and committed to Veteran’s Affairs and educating our community about Veteran’s and their service and sacrifice.

We at Family Service of the Chautauqua Region, Inc. (FSCR) were honored to have Sgt. Carlo join us at our end of the year picnic on June 19, 2017. At that time he generously presented us with an American Flag from our nation’s capital. He also provided each of our employees with our own personal flag as well as extra flags that we have displayed outside on our walkway. Sgt. Carlo has donated a total of 273 flags to businesses and schools county wide. Sgt. Carlo gives his time to the community in hopes to spread awareness regarding our service men and women.

FSCR would like to take this opportunity to publically thank Sgt. Carlo for his service to our country and his generous donation to our agency. We are in the process of purchasing a new flag pole so that we can proudly display our new American flag.
