Stories Of Area Veterans Show The Costs Of War

To The Reader’s Forum:

Thank you to The Post-Journal for dedicating front-page space on Sunday and Memorial Day to the Veterans’ stories.

Many veterans do not share their war memories and we need to hear their voices to make history personal and to further understand the facts of war. Thank you, too, to the Robert H. Jackson Center for ensuring that we hear from the local people who were and are part of global history. It is only through listening to personal experiences of those involved that we truly understand the human costs of war.
