Thomas Jefferson Predicts This Election
To The Readers’ Forum:
Perhaps some of the zeal in the populous during this election season springs forth from “our” (not including the characters in Washington D.C.) knowledge of our Free Christian heritage. Take note of these quotes:
1.) “To compel a man to furnish contributions of money (ie. subsidize with his taxes) the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”
2.) “If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors (taxes) of the people, under the pretense of taking care of them, they must become happy.”
3.) “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
These are from an incredibly insightful man who was studying Latin, Greek, and French at age 9. He was in college at age 16 and practicing law at age 23 and at thirty-three authored the Declaration of Independence. Yes, It’s Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson was extremely predictive; sadly, after 200 years we see his predictions come to fruition.
