Resident Expresses Gratefulness For Community Altruism

To The Readers’ Forum:

On a sunny snowy day this week I was shoveling my walkway when a couple stopped by in their car and asked if they could help with the task. Since the snow was deep and I am no spring chicken, I gladly accepted their kind offer. The gentleman , whose name is Dana, did a wonderful job of clearing the walkway. His wife introduced herself as Sherry and told me that they had spent eight hours the previous day shoveling snow at people’s homes to help elderly and disabled folks. This letter is to express my appreciation and to thank them again for their kindness. We do have truly good people in our home town!
