Richard Alan Pearson

Richard Alan Pearson of Norby Road, Kiantone, N.Y., passed away Feb. 28, 2019.

He was born in August of 1947 in Jamestown. The son of George and Beatrice (Headman) Pearson.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Wanda (Cali) Pearson, whom he married in November of 1968; his son, David (Jen) Pearson; his daughter, Michelle (Shaun) Williams; four grandchildren: Celia and Dylan Pearson and Courtney and Aden Williams, all of Frewsburg, N.Y.; a brother, Greg (Laura) Pearson of Joliet, Ill., two sisters-in-law: Theresa (Joe) Ditonto and Gigi Cali of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Rick was a 1965 graduate of Jamestown High School. He attended Jamestown Community College and then enrolled in the U.S. Air Force.

He was a current member of the Carrol Rod & Gun Club and a past post commander at the Jamestown American Legion Post 149.

He’s also a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun and IBEW local 106. Rick was an electrician by trade and he worked at Blackstone Industries, Valeo and most recently TitanX, where he retired from in 2009. He was past president of the Kiantone Fire Department and a life member for 45 years.

Rick enjoyed playing cards with friends, country line dancing, camping and being a T-ball coach in Frewsburg when his children were young. He loved to travel, especially on cruise ships, visit casinos, play Bingo, and boat on the Kinzua Reservoir. He enjoyed the Carroll Rod & Gun club and reminiscing about his life.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2019, in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019, in the funeral home.
