Mona J. Nelson
Mona J. Nelson, 88, of Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing, formerly of 25 Cherry St., Frewsburg, passed away Tuesday, (Nov. 27, 2018) at Heritage Green.
She was born Oct. 8, 1930, in the town of Poland, the daughter of Ira and Jennie Eblom Walker.
Before retiring, she had been employed as office manager for Upstate Milk for 18 years and prior to that at Dairylea.
She was a member of East Jamestown Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Mona is survived by a son, Craig (Teresa) Nelson of Jamestown; a daughter, Gloria (Rob) Catha of Bradenton, Fla.; four grandchildren: Joshua (Jenna) Nelson of Rochester, Jessica Nelson of Jamestown, Nesreen Aponte of Florida, and David Chichaali of Dallas, Texas.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert G. Nelson; four sisters: Kathryn Mansfield, Madelyn Garfield, Evelyn Cooper and Allene Nelson; and three brothers: Ira, Robert, and Rodney Walker.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 180 Martin Road, Jamestown.
No visitation will be observed.
