Diana T. Butera

On Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, we lost our beloved Diana T. Butera, who passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Diana was born February 23, 1957, the daughter of the late Chuck and Babe Butera, and sister of the late Gerald M. Butera.

Diana was a beautiful person with a kind soul and huge heart. She loved everyone she met and was always willing to help those in need. She will be forever missed by anyone blessed to have her as a part of their lives, especially her family and friends who were her world. Diana was a wonderful listener who always made people feel at ease. She loved and accepted people for who they were and never judged. When you spoke with Diana she had a way of making you feel important, special and loved. She had a warm and nurturing demeanor. Those who truly knew her could not help but love her because of her caring and compassionate warm hugs and infectious laugh. Even her fur babies felt a tremendous and unique love and connection with Diana.

Diana cherished several loved ones who are still left on this earth, the love of her life, Ron Nordstrom, with whom she shared her home for the past 18 years. That home included several precious, furry friends. Her sister, Debra Zahn (Tim Eddy); nieces: Crystal and Heather Butera; nephew, Andy Butera (Katie); grand nieces and nephews: Aubry, Julio, Javon, Brianna, Jaylen, Liam, and Jamal.

Ron wishes to express a special thank you to the following people for their strength and support: Diana’s cousins: Dan, Brian, Shelly, Jody Butera and George and Lori Carlo. Her good friends: Lorraine and John Adams, Debbie and Terry Shilling, Sarah Gilbert and Dave Gayton.

The family will be planning a celebration of life at a later date and time to be announced by Lind Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701.
